We are pleased to welcome the community to the new Play Group Theatre facility at One North Broadway in White Plains. This 20,000 square foot space serves as both home to all of The Play Group Theatre's programs and performances as well as a unique and flexible venue for guest shows and events. Our new home includes rehearsal studios, costume and scene shops, offices, a two story lobby and, of course, our two theatres! Our StudioStage seats under 100 with an intimate "black box" feel. Our MainStage is a complete 30 foot procenium theatre with 228 fixed seats and includes flexible stage and tech.

Our new home at One North Broadway
From the invitation to our GALA RIBBON CUTTING CELEBRATION January 2, 2010

In downtown White Plains in a funny little mall
The children arrived, they were big!! They were small!!
They wanted to sing and they wanted to dance
And they knew PGT would give them that chance

They spent hours each day in rehearsal together
and the friendships they made – they knew those were forever!
They worked hard to learn every line on the page.
Then they wanted to put their show on a stage!

So they loaded their show in a big giant truck
And found a nice theatre, when they were in luck.
When not, then oh! The theatres they found
They were far. They were small. Some lacked lights! Some lacked sound!
And truck after truck and show after show
For fifteen years, they were always on the go!

“What we need is a home of our own!” they all said
And a very long search is what was ahead
From New Ro to Mamaroneck, back to New Ro again,
Each place that seemed promising fell through - and then,
With hearts feeling heavy and with hopes nearly dashed
A glimmer of light across North Broadway flashed.

After all of those years, looking high, looking low
Just two blocks away was sitting NoBro!!
There were bathrooms and windows and theatres galore!
They ‘d never seen anything like it before!

“We’ll take it!” They said, and construction began
To open on January second was the plan.
They painted and built and found theatre seats online!
all to be ready to open on time.
Now, on January second, will you be there to see
As we cut the ribbon and make PGT history?!
